Engineering Management (Logistics Engineering and Management) Master’s Degree

Engineering Management (Logistics Engineering and Management) is in the first batch of masters degree awarded points of Zhejiang Wanli University. This degree program directly meets the needs of the development of industries such as port logistics, cross-border e-commerce and digital economy. Leveraging the strengths of national first-class undergraduate programs (e.g., Logistics Management, E-Commerce) and provincial first-class disciplines (e.g., Management Science and Engineering), along with other strengthened disciplines and specialties. It cultivates high-level application-oriented professionals capable of independently managing operations, leading coordination, and driving practical innovation in enterprises and institutions across sectors such as port logistics, cross-border e-commerce, and advanced manufacturing. This degree program includes three characteristic training directions: port logistics and supply chain management, cross-border e-commerce technology and operation management, and digital supply chain technology and application.    

Direction 1: Port Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Based on the location advantage and resource endowment of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, it comprehensively applies theoretical methods such as management, operations research, industrial economics, and new technologies based on the Internet, cloud computing, big data, and block chain, uses the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, carries out research and application in the fields of port logistics industry development planning, port logistics service innovation, port supply chain planning and management, and fourth-party logistics.

Direction 2: Cross-border E-commerce Technology and Operations Management. Focusing on the development of digital trade and cross-border e-commerce industry in Zhejiang Province, this direction integrates computer science, Internet technologies, and information systems with management, economics, sociology theories and methodologies. By combining engineering technology and behavioral science approaches, research and applications cover areas such as cross-border e-commerce operations management, economic and trade big data services for China-Central and Eastern Europe trade, e-commerce data mining, cross-border e-commerce and cross-border logistics collaborative technology, cross-border e-commerce overseas warehouse operation management, and so forth.

Direction 3: Digital Supply Chain Technology and Application. Focusing on the development of the digital economy in Zhejiang Province and the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, this direction integrates the new generation of information technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data, the theoretical system and technical methods of the digital supply chain. By combining engineering technology research and development with industry application needs, research and applications cover areas such as digital supply chain platform technology, intelligent processing and application of 3D video, intelligent perception and data analysis, and so forth.

Full-time masters degree program generally takes 3 years, and the longest is no more than 5 years. Masters degree of Engineering Management is awarded.
