The school faculty consistently integrate teaching, research and social services in their academic endeavors. Faculty members have undertaken nearly 700 research projects at various levels, including 8 national-level projects, and over 100 provincial and ministerial-level projects. Thet have published more than 150 papers in SSCI, SCI, and CSSCI-index journals, authored more than 50 monographs and textbooks, and received 30 provincial and ministerial level awards. The school has achieved remarkable research outcomes in fields such as port logistics and supply chain management, digital innovation and management, and cross-border e-commerce.
In terms of social services, the school has taken the initiative to connect with industries and serve the local economy. It has become a think tank in the fields of logistics, e-commerce and information services for provincial and municipal governments. The faculty has completed more than 100 research reports and has submitted 48 drafts of decision-making proposals. 29 research results have been adopted by the actual work departments and many of them have been adopted by the Central Office of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council. Additionally, the school has provided management consulting and technical services to more than 50 enterprises. It also plays a key role in talent development by organizing executive training programs for logistics enterprises, senior logistics division training courses and e-commerce specialist training programs. As a result, it has become a key training base for e-commerce and logistics professionals in Ningbo.
