Mission

The school is committed to cultivating globally minded and highly responsible business leaders, supported by talent development, scientific research, social service, and cultural heritage, with the goal of fostering innovation and promoting the sustainable development of regional industries.

Upon its establishment in 2010, the school initially defined its mission as ‘leading innovation and cultivating business elites who contribute to regional economic development, supported by talent development, scientific research, social service, and cultural heritage.’ In 2019, after becoming an AMBA & BGA Bronze Member, the school integrated ‘global vision’ into its talent development framework. In 2024, the mission was further refined to incorporate ‘high social responsibility’ and ‘sustainability’ as core principles.

Vision

The school aspires to become a globally recognised, leading national application-oriented management school, distinguished by its expertise in port and shipping logistics and cross-border e-commerce.

When the school was founded in 2010, its initial vision was to ‘become a leading application-oriented management school in the Yangtze River Delta, specialising in port and shipping logistics and e-commerce.’ In 2024, consistent with the university’s new strategic development goals, the vision was updated to include ‘becoming a globally recognised, nationally leading application-oriented management school, with a distinct focus on port and shipping logistics and cross-border e-commerce.’
