Course Description:

Organizational Psychology is a compulsory course for Business Administration majors. This course aims to develop students' psychological knowledge, mindset, and skills necessary for management in the context of economic globalization, innovation-driven development, and digital transformation. By integrating theory with practice, students will learn how to manage themselves, projects, technology, society, markets, engineering, organizational growth, and the environment effectively to achieve the sustainable development goals of an organization.

 

Learning Outcomes:

Understand the fundamental concepts, structure, and development history of organizational psychology and master the Five-Force Management Framework Model.

Grasp behavioral decision-making strategies, recognize the importance of person-organization fit, and understand ecological management and sustainability concepts.

Enhance understanding of professional ethics, trust, and responsibility management while fostering a correct value orientation and sense of social responsibility.

Gain deep insight into group dynamics, master effective teamwork and leadership skills, and promote innovation and organizational change.

Learn to manage workplace conflicts and stress, as well as develop effective communication and negotiation skills to adapt to rapidly changing work environments.

 

Teaching Methods:

This course adopts a variety of teaching methods to ensure an effective combination of theory and practice.

Lecture-based teaching: Introduce the basic theoretical framework of organizational psychology and the latest research advancements.

Case analysis: Discuss real-world management problems and explore their solutions through case studies, improving students’ problem-solving abilities.

Workshops and interactive discussions: Encourage students to participate in classroom discussions and group activities to promote knowledge exchange, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Practical activities: Arrange field visits and corporate interviews to provide students with firsthand experience and a real-world understanding of management psychology.

 

Assessment Methods:

Grades consist of continuous assessment (50%) and a final exam (50%).

Continuous assessment includes attendance, classroom performance, individual assignments, teamwork, research reports, and other components, focusing on students’ learning attitudes and engagement.

The final exam primarily tests students’ understanding of core organizational psychology theories and their practical application.
