Course Description:

Enterprise Ethics and Culture is a core compulsory course for undergraduate students majoring in Business Administration. The course is designed to help students master the fundamental concepts and principles of business ethics and corporate culture. The content is divided into two major parts: business ethics and corporate culture. The ethics component explores corporate moral standards, social responsibility, and sustainable development. The culture component focuses on theoretical frameworks, practical approaches to building corporate culture, and its transformation and innovation. Through case-based teaching, discussions, and practical activities, students will learn to apply corporate culture theories to real-world issues and develop sound management values.

 

Learning Outcomes:

Understand the basic concepts, historical development, and significance of business ethics and corporate culture;

Master ethical decision-making principles and methods; understand standards and evaluation systems for corporate social responsibility;

Become familiar with the structure, functions, and diagnostic methods of corporate culture.

Be able to identify and analyze ethical issues in business management and propose appropriate solutions;

Acquire skills in diagnosing and designing corporate culture systems and develop the ability to build a positive corporate culture;

Cultivate critical thinking and the ability to apply theory to practical management problems.

Foster values of lawfulness and social responsibility;

Enhance awareness of business ethics and corporate social responsibility; promote the formation of a positive, law-abiding, and trustworthy corporate culture;

Teaching Methods:

The course adopts a teaching model that combines case-based instruction with student-led discussions and field research, including:

Case teaching: Students analyze specific cases to understand and apply relevant knowledge in real-life contexts.

Seminars and practice: Students are encouraged to deepen their understanding through group discussions, field research, and scenario simulations.

 

Assessment Methods:

Final grades consist of continuous assessment (60%) and final evaluation (40%):

Continuous assessment (60%) includes mastery of corporate culture diagnosis and measurement methods (30%), and attendance, class performance, and participation in scenario-based practical research (30%).

Final evaluation (40%) typically takes the form of a written examination focused on assessing students’ understanding and application of ethics and corporate culture knowledge.
