Course Description:

Entrepreneurship and Humanistic Quality is an elective course designed for all students in the college. It aims to support the cultivation of applied talents, align with national strategies for innovation and entrepreneurship, and advance innovation-driven development and educational reform in higher education. Combining theoretical instruction with practical activities, this course is committed to enhancing students’ overall social competence and fostering the integrated development of their entrepreneurial mindset and humanistic qualities.

 

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

Understand professional ethics and self-cultivation: Develop a strong sense of responsibility and moral integrity, and recognize their social responsibilities and missions;

Grasp the original intention and mission of entrepreneurship: Strengthen cultural awareness and psychological resilience, and regulate entrepreneurial behavior;

Comprehend the spirit of entrepreneurship: Cultivate innovative thinking, vision, character, willpower, work ethic, and personal qualities of entrepreneurs;

Engage in diverse practical activities: Participate in various experiential learning formats such as Rural Revitalization Classrooms, Youth Red-themed Classrooms, Social Welfare Activities, and Entrepreneurship Practice Workshops to boost confidence and practical ability;

Enhance comprehensive competence: Integrate theory with practice to improve theoretical literacy, practical skills, ideological depth, innovative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

 

Teaching Methods:

The course alternates between theoretical instruction and practical activities, with a focus on practice-based learning. Specific methods include:

Theoretical instruction: Covers four modules—professional ethics and self-cultivation, entrepreneurial intention and mission, entrepreneurial spirit, and investigative research—delivered through case studies, themed interviews, and discussions.

Practical activities: Guide students to engage in field visits to enterprises, business incubators, and rural communities, offering open-ended, real-world learning experiences through formats such as Rural Revitalization Classrooms, Youth Red-themed Classrooms, Social Welfare Workshops, and Entrepreneurship Experience Sessions.

Project supervision and evaluation: Provide mentorship and oversight throughout social practice projects, and organize final presentations to showcase students’ outcomes and achievements.

 

Assessment Methods:

Final grades consist of four components:

Learning Hours (20%): Assesses attendance and participation in both theoretical and practical sessions;

Practical Classroom Participation (20%): Evaluates individual engagement in designated practice sessions;

Practice Process (20%): Includes team project proposal, execution, and process evaluation;

Final Practice Report (40%): Based on the group’s final report, presentation, and any representative achievements.
