Course Description:
Professional Quality Development and Employment Guidance is a compulsory course tailored for senior students. Aligned with the objectives of applied talent cultivation, and based on the college’s disciplinary characteristics and industry requirements for professional competence, this course aims to enhance students' employability and overall professional quality through structured learning and practical experience.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
Master essential professional qualities, including time management, interpersonal communication, and business etiquette;
Improve personal professional image and acquire job-seeking skills such as resume writing and interview techniques;
Explore career paths and development strategies, conducting self-assessments using career evaluation tools to understand personal values and interests;
Strengthen job-seeking awareness and abilities, and prepare for employment through practical activities such as mock interviews.
Teaching Methods:
The course combines theoretical instruction with experiential learning, delivered through both online and offline formats. Methods include case analysis, group discussions, role-playing, and social investigations. Experienced internal and external experts are invited to deliver lectures, ensuring high teaching quality.
Assessment Methods:
Final grades are composed of two parts:
Class performance (60%): Includes attendance, submission of digital resumes, proof of job offers or entrepreneurial activity, and participation in job fairs.
Final paper (40%): A written essay exploring strategies to improve individual professional quality and employability. The paper must be original and follow standard formatting guidelines.
