1. Course Description
As a foundational and introductory course for the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program, this course provides students with a comprehensive, systematic, and macro-level understanding of engineering systems and engineering management. It aims to equip students with an overall grasp of the engineering management framework, laying a solid foundation for subsequent advanced studies and research in the field.
2. Learning Outcomes
This course equips students with the ability to:
Master fundamental common challenges in engineering management, particularly in the field of logistics engineering and management;
Understand the overarching framework and key components of engineering management;
Develop systems thinking for engineering management and design thinking for solving critical practical problems;
Establish a scientific, rational approach to engineering values and ethics.
3. Teaching Methods
The course employs a blended online and offline teaching approach. Leveraging the course platform of the Zhejiang Graduate Course Alliance, the teaching model follows the principle of online pre-learning, in-depth in-class lectures, and extracurricular expansion to help students grasp fundamental principles and analytical methods.

Final Exam (Open Book): 70%
Regular Performance (30%): Attendance and classroom participation.
