1. Course Description
Organizational Psychology is a discipline that studies the understanding, interpretation, and prediction of individual behavior, group dynamics, organizational strategies, and their patterns of change within organizational contexts. It aims to improve and enhance work and management effectiveness, making it a significant branch of industrial psychology and a key area of applied psychology. This course is a compulsory subject for Master's students in Engineering Management and is also a core course for BGA accreditation.
The course content is structured around the Five Forces Management Framework Model, focusing on ecological force management, cultural force management, team force management, innovation force management, and action force management. It systematically covers four major themes: systems, mindset, and decision-making; values, culture, and motivation; coordination, teamwork, and leadership; and innovation, organization, and change.
2. Learning Outcomes
Analytical and Interpretive Skills: Students will be able to apply theories and methods from organizational psychology to analyze individual, group, and organizational behaviors and interactions in management activities.
Problem-Solving Skills: Students will learn to use organizational psychology theories and methods to address specific management-related psychological issues, thereby enhancing organizational and individual effectiveness and well-being.
Research Skills: Students will analyze the latest research trends and findings in organizational psychology, develop a sense of inquiry, and generate new research perspectives. They will also examine practical psychological issues in management contexts, driven by real-world problems, to strengthen practical applications and integrate these into their professional focus, ultimately producing academic research outcomes.
Professional Competence: Through the study and practice of organizational psychology, students will develop a strong professional ethos, mature personality, high self-management skills, effective communication and teamwork abilities, as well as innovative and learning capabilities, laying a solid foundation for their future careers.
3. Teaching Methods
The course employs a variety of teaching approaches, including theoretical lectures, case studies, experiential activities, psychological assessments, and group collaborations. It emphasizes the integration of theory, research, and practice, combining knowledge, skills, and values to cultivate students into high-level, application-oriented management professionals equipped with the mindset, knowledge, abilities, and qualities of organizational psychology in the new era.

The final grade for the course is calculated as follows:
Regular Performance (60%):
